Drawing hearts of mothers and daughters closer through creative Bible Studies
It’s the way your heart smiles when a dear friend opens the door and invites you in for an encouraging visit. You take deep refreshing breaths and find a comfortable place on the couch. You’re in a place where you are wanted, loved, secure. This place feels like “home.”
We pray a similar sense of “welcome” is knocking at your door as you read these first opening lines.
We are sisters in Christ. We are friends in the faith.
You. Are. Welcomed. Here.

About the Author
I began to fall in love with Jesus as a young girl. It’s His life changing love that provides the “heart beat” for the Heart of Womanhood ministry. I married my high school sweetheart, Steve, who serves as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Area Director in Louisville, Kentucky. As a team we have enjoyed partnering in both family and FCA ministry for over 30 years. One of our greatest joys has been parenting three (now grown) daughters who live each day to honor God.
It was always our passion to encourage our own daughters to discover the truth of God’s love for themselves. We desired for them to picture themselves as God’s masterpieces; to live confidently knowing that the God who designs them, defines them. As I poured these biblical truths into their hearts, I did this while walking alongside other godly moms who shared the same vision. These ideas are the creative brushstrokes that became the PORTRAITS study. It’s my prayer that God uses these resources so you and the girls in your life fall more in love with Jesus too!
PORTRAITS Bible Study
The Heart of Womanhood PORTRAITS series is a 31-lesson study through Proverbs 31. We divide it into six separate sections we call “Frames.”
This colorful series is the starting point for understanding God’s heart for womanhood. By highlighting “portraits” of women in the Bible, each lesson develops life skills, relational strengths, and spiritual disciplines as together you study Proverbs 31 phrase by phrase, verse by verse.
By enjoying all six frames, you and your daughter will know Proverbs 31 by heart. During the study, you’ll apply each verse creatively and practically to the canvas of daily life.
